Boxever has always been about putting the customer at the heart of everything. Visionary digital and marketing leaders rely on Boxever’s platform to understand their customers, to experiment and make smart digital decisions that orchestrate amazing cross-channel personalised experiences.
Today I’m really excited to announce that Boxever has been acquired by Sitecore, a company that shares our vision for a future where each customer experience delivered by a brand is engaging, relevant and valuable.
My co-founders, Dermot, Alan and I started with a simple mission – to use data to make customer interactions smarter. We knew personalisation could be more than chasing customers around the web with cookies and ads – we knew it could enable great brands to build enduring products that customers engage with.
Unlike many other solutions in the market, we believed true 1-1 personalisation was based on determining the “next best action” for each customer regardless of the channel. Over the last 9+ years we worked to create a platform that’s the “brain” in a brand’s digital stack – constantly optimising each customer interaction in real-time based on who the customer is, what they’re currently doing and what their intent is.
Today our decision-first approach to personalisation is used by customer-obsessed brands in every corner of the globe. We’re powering a range of exciting examples of what’s possible in personalisation, from individually priced business class upgrade messages moments before takeoff for an airline, to personalised responsible gambling messaging based on real-time player behaviour for gaming companies to hyper-targeted regulatory communications in financial services.
Sitecore’s digital experience platform empowers thousands of the world’s smartest brands and the combination of Sitecore and Boxever will redefine what’s possible in digital experience. Boxever will expand and enhance Sitecore’s current personalisation capabilities making it easy to capture, unify and activate customer data and deliver personalised experiences at scale. Together, we believe that our complementary technologies will give companies the capabilities they need to deliver “next best experiences” across all digital and physical interactions.
I’m incredibly proud of the company we’ve built. It couldn’t have happened without the passion and commitment of the Boxever team and it’s been a privilege to work with such a smart, driven group of people. I’d also like to thank our customers, partners and investors who helped make us what we are today.
